Junior Minors Waiting List
As some of you may have recently learned, the Junior Minors Baseball division has reached capacity.
If you have interest in registering your child for Junior Minors, please complete this form and have the 2012 Player Application completed and ready.
Due to continuing demand for the the Spring 2012 season, GVLL has opened up online registration for new players in the following age categories:
- Ages 5-6 for T-Ball
- Ages 9 and up for Minors, Majors, Juniors & Seniors
To register, you will need to complete 2 actions.
- Register via Active.com. The registration fee is now $200.
- E-Mail scanned/photographed images of proof of age and residency to gvll.comms@gmail.com
Acceptable forms of age & residency proof include:
- proof of age (passport, birth certificate)
- proof of residence (cable bill, insurance bill, utility bill, etc) that confirms that you reside within the GVLL district.
A final date has been set for Juniors & Seniors tryouts.
Tryouts will take place on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at the following times:
- 2/26/12, 8AM-1PM – Juniors Tryouts
- 2/26/12, 1PM-4PM – Seniors Tryouts
In addition, extra pre-tryout workouts, which will be attended by P3 and GVLL coaches will take place on the following dates:
- 1/22/12 2:00PM-4:30PM: Indoor workouts including batting & pitching instruction
- 1/29/12 1:30PM-4:30PM: Official Pre-Tryouts
- 2/4/12 10AM-1PM: Official Pre-Tryouts
- 2/12/12 9AM-12PM: Official Pre-Tryouts
- 2/19/12 9AM-12PM: Official Pre-Tryouts

Tryout Season Has Begun!
It may still be the winter, but tryout season has begun for the upper divisions of GVLL. In order for players to get tuned up for their tryouts, GVLL and P3 have setup weekend training sessions which are attended by the P3 instructors and coaches from all GVLL upper divisions.
In order to play in the upper divisions, players must tryout in order to be drafted.
Majors:
Players wishing to play in the Majors can participate in pre-tryout sessions on Sundays at Pier 40. Remaining sessions:
- 1/22/12 10AM-1PM: Official Pre-Tryouts
- 1/29/12 10AM-1PM: Official Pre-Tryouts
- 2/5/12 8AM-2PM: Majors Tryouts (please watch web site for more details)
Juniors/Seniors:
Players wishing to play in the Juniors and Seniors can participate in workout sessions on Sundays at Pier 40. Remaining sessions:

Pitcher Safety Clinic for Coaches
Upper division coaches (Majors through Seniors) who wish to attend the Pitcher Safety Clinic this Sunday, please RSVP via the Eventbrite system.
Mickey Levinson, a physical trainer from Hospital for Special Surgery who specializes in working with pitchers come will be performing a pitching safety clinic on the January 22nd.
This session is open to all COACHES (NOT PLAYERS) from the Majors level and above (Juniors & Seniors).
The event will be held in the pitching room at P3 inside Pier 40.

Please note that these sessions must be arranged individually and you must receive confirmation from Dan prior to your meeting.
